Ed-vise: Fusion

A way to go ARMY GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, Army, once again, beat Navy! Double overtime and on a field goal! Kickers.

Technically Talking Tuesday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s TUESDAY…Technically.

Big news out of the Department of Energy.

Fusion. Nuclear type. One each.

Game changer in the realm of energy. Reason being it is supposed to be continuous and clean. Meaning the only by product would be energy to create electricity for generations and generations with zero pollution. The stuff that Tony Stark (Iron Man) made with his little chest dealio.

Fusion means atomic particle are coming together to create energy in the form of heat.

Fission is the opposite side where the atomic particles come apart like in bombs. That also makes heat but creates a big pile of radioactive waste over time.

The fusion thing goes a bit like this. They take a couple of particles Deuterium and Tridium. They run it through a bunch of tubes and a bunch of lasers and force these things together. The lasers and tubes act in place of the gravity of stars and planets. This process forces these particle’s protons to come together and a kick out a bit of energy in the form of heat.

Now keep in mind that Good Ol’ ‘Murica is NOT the first to do this. The Brits do it as well using a bunch of magnets to create plasma. Several other countries are also working on it. However, ‘Murica’s experiment was the FIRST to produce more energy than what it took to make the reaction.

So, Technically Talking we might be out of the World Cup, but we are definitely in the lead for clean and renewable energy! And THAT is what freedom looks like!

I’m just saying

That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember Christmas trees are bad at knitting because they keep…DROPPING THEIR NEEDLES! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA…messy!

Peace
